Borne by Cian, son of Dian Cécht and father of the god Lugh Lámhfhada in the Mythological Cycle, slain by the sons of Tuireann.
The story behind Cian
Cian was killed by the three sons of Tuireann while transformed into a pig; Lugh exacted vengeance by setting the killers tasks of impossible difficulty, including bringing him pig-skins, apples, a chariot and a cooking-spit from various otherworldly realms.
