Overview
Son of Cú Chulainn and Aoife, killed unknowingly by his own father at the Ford in 'Aided Óenfir Aífe' (The Death of Aoife's Only Son), one of the great tragedies of the Ulster Cycle.
The story behind Connla
Aoife sent her son to Ulster bearing tokens by which Cú Chulainn would have known him, but bound by a geis not to reveal his name; Cú Chulainn killed him in single combat at the strand of Baile, recognising him only as he died.
