The story behind Deaglán

Saint Deaglán founded his monastery at Ardmore in Waterford, and his round tower and oratory still stand; in the 12th-century Life of Deaglán he is said to have predated Patrick and to have attended the Synod of Cashel after Patrick's arrival.
