Manannán mac Lir, the great sea-god of Irish mythology, ruler of the Otherworld islands and master of the boat Sguaba Tuinne ('Wave-Sweeper'); his name is the source of the Isle of Man.

Father of Mongán; husband of Fand; he provided the gods with their feast of immortality and was the last of the great pre-Christian Irish deities to be remembered in folklore.
